‘The Industrial Handyman.’ Industrial Electricians are the ones to call when it comes to installing, maintaining and repairing complicated electrical equipment in an industrial setting. They may be called at all hours of the day and night to perform emergency maintenance but because they’re highly trained, they’re often able to identify the problem quickly and resolve it. Maintenance departments in plants, mines, smelters, oil and gas rigs, platforms, mills, and shipyards are among the many industrial institutions that use Industrial Electricians. One of the main responsibilities of an industrial electrician is performing tests and ensuring that all circuit systems are working properly. Because they are responsible for wiring and installing new machinery, they must be able to read complex diagrams and document any changes made, in the schematic.
